Chaindoc anchors only a hash of the finished document to a blockchain (SKALE Calypso) — the document itself is stored in standard AWS S3 with server-side encryption, and Chaindoc holds the keys. Noira runs its encryption and storage natively on-chain (ICP), and no party can decrypt documents unilaterally.
Does Chaindoc store documents on the blockchain?
No.
Only a SHA-256 hash of the finished PDF is written to SKALE Calypso, for tamper-evidence. The document itself lives in conventional cloud storage (AWS S3).
Can Chaindoc read my documents?
Yes, technically.
Chaindoc holds both the S3 encryption keys and the per-signer ECDSA signing keys. The platform is therefore in a position to decrypt stored documents and to produce signatures on a signer's behalf.
Is Chaindoc's CSA STAR certification independently audited?
No.
It is a Level 1 self-assessment (CAIQ), not a third-party audited certification. Self-assessment is a vendor-attested questionnaire, not an independent audit.
